Lara is the main reason I played Angel of Darkness. So, Lara decides to find the painting before her rivals. One of the paintings is rumored to be hidden in an excavation site under the museum of Louvre. After escaping she learns he worked for a dangerous client, who searches for five obscure paintings connected to medieval, dark legends. She meets an old colleague of hers but he is assassinated and the police chase her. Lara goes to Paris, which is terrorized by a series of mysterious, gruesome murders. Unlike other Tomb Raider games, this adventure does not begin in some god-forgotten temple in a jungle or desert. Let me tell you my personal experience of the game, starting with the story. However, Angel of Darkness, her first appearance on PS2, did not receive favorable reviews. She may be the most famous digital heroine and she deserves it as her adventures on PlayStation revolutionized gaming. If you click up, you’ll have access to all the keys and other objects needed to solve puzzles and if you click down, it’ll take you to the main menu, where you can save, load, or quit the game through the passport and other options.Everybody knows Lara Croft, right? Even if you have never played one of her games you’ve heard of them or seen the movies. If you click ESC, you’ll have access to the inventory, where you’ll find a compass and all the weapons, ammo, and med-packs you’ll pick up. There’s basically no HUD on screen apart from a life bar on the top-left corner. The game starts inside the mountain where we have full control of Lara and access to her unlimitedĪmmo pistols. If the intro cutscene shows us, Lara, as an experienced adventurer, this cutscene shows us Lara as the action hero she is. Lara immediately draws his pistols, kills the pack, and goes inside. Lara climbs the entrance to open it, but then the guide is attacked by a pack of wolves that emerged from within. When starting a new game, you’re treated to another cutscene where Lara and a guide are transversing the Peruvian mountains until they reach an entrance on the mountain wall. Eidos, however, forced the team to adopt a more westernized identity for the character and change her name to Lara Croft.īut enough history and let’s look at the covers:Īfter finishing the tutorial, you go back to the main menu, and to start a new game, you need to select the passport for it.
